Mardi Gras

Well we are having our first Mardi Gras experience. Nate and I have gone to two parades so far. One was an adult only parade in the french quarter. The other one was a kids parade. We brought home bags of beads and cups. Along with all the fun came sun burns. I think I got it the worst. We have two more weeks to go. The kids have figured out to say "Mister throw me some beads!" Tristin dances everytime the band or music goes by. It is definitely a fun event.

Visitors

Grandpa Kenny and Grandma Kathy came to visit us for a week. The kids loved it. They would get up early in the morning, do school, and be ready for the full days of activity. We took them to the aquarium. The kids went faster than what Grandpa and Grandma could read. Nate gave a city tour in the van which was great for everyone except not so exciting for the kids. We went to Bush LA one night and ate seafood. I tried rabbit for the first time. Cole was eating his chicken legs really fast until he was told he was eating frog legs. The other grandparents, Tom and Crystal, also went with us to eat. It was a lot of fun. Carson went straight for desserts. Needless to say he was sick the next day. We also took a Katrina/City tour by grayline. It was very informational. The day before they left, they were able to see dolphins swimming out the window. The only thing that they didn't get to do is go golfing but that is because I kept them busy. In a couple of weeks we will be having another visitor for the end of Mardi Gras.
